“I have always enjoyed the feeling I have after receiving an SI session; my body feels taller, straighter, lighter yet grounded; my breath is more open, and I walk and move with more ease and fluidity. It’s a unique sensation I have not had with any other kind of bodywork. I love sharing the gift of this experience with my clients.” – Jessica
Jessica grew up in Lawrence, Kansas, fortunate to receive Structural Integration throughout her childhood from her father, Larry Redding, Certified Advanced Rolfer, who trained at the Rolf Institute in 1978. She attended Grinnell College in Iowa, receiving her B.A. in Studio Art in 2003. When bodywork started calling her name, she attended the Montana School of Massage in 2004. Committing herself to massage full-time, she worked in both spa and chiropractic settings until starting her private practice in 2010.
From these years of experience, Jessica realized she wanted to provide more effective, longer-lasting treatment for her clients and decided to follow in her dad’s footsteps, training in Structural Integration. She completed a 528-hour program at the Guild for Structural Integration, a school dedicated to the original teachings of Dr. Ida P. Rolf. She was privileged to train with Jeff Linn, Amber Leigh Burnham and Emmett Hutchins, the latter being one of the original practitioners chosen by Dr. Rolf to teach and sustain her work.
In 2015, Jessica discontinued massage therapy in order to focus solely on Structural Integration, the work about which she is most passionate. With a full practice, she builds upon her knowledge, sensitivity and creativity daily with every client. It is Jessica’s goal to provide an appropriate blend of manual technique, movement reeducation and ideas for self-awareness and self-care to her clients. She considers it a joy and an honor to facilitate healing change, whatever that may look like, in those who experience the 10-series of SI and post-10 work.
From 2017 to 2022, Jessica served on the Board of Directors for the Guild for Structural Integration, first as secretary and later as Vice President. She proudly committed herself to continuing Dr. Rolf’s work by helping future students receive a welcoming and quality education like she did, and providing support for the existing SI community of practitioners.
When not at her office, Jessica’s life is filled by her two wonderful children, Emmy and Kai, and enjoying Montana’s gorgeous landscapes. She enjoys being active by strength training, hiking, stand-up paddleboarding and doing yoga. More body awareness, function, strength and mobility for her means more compassion and insight for her clients, as well as longevity in her beloved career.
